Biblical Hebrew poetic devices are not often so straightforward. While the Bible has no shortage of invigorating imagery, metaphors, and rhymes, they also use Unfamiliar Techniques like chiasms, parallelisms, inclusios, and wordplays. To find and explore these poetic devices, some digging skills are required - including language and analysis skills. To help, we are creating a Bible Study Web App with Tools!

It’s a type of beautify that opens the eyes to a cosmic magnitude of awe and wonder and pulls at the heart in a way that plain words do not, bringing enjoyment to our inner being and stirring us to praise and worship. But Poetic devices are not purely decorative - read on!

Poetry is not purely decorative. Poetic devices are what the writer uses to capture and express deep mysteries about God and our relationship with Him. Thats why a Deep Understanding of the Writer’s Rich Message is the Real Gem that we are digging for. It is these type of gems that nourishes our souls and causes it to growth and flourish! But to obtain it, we must find and deciper the poetic devices.
